Who I am
My name is Tania and I am a person-centred psychotherapist with a background in substance misuse and bereavement support, working with a wide range of people from all ethnicities, backgrounds and cultures.
How I work
Beginning counselling can feel like a big and sometimes daunting step, but you will be supported in a safe, confidential space where you can speak freely. Each person experiences the world differently, so this is a personal journey led by you. Using a person-centred approach, I will help you feel at ease as you explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, gaining clarity, insight, and self-awareness to support your own healing.
I will be fully present with you, offering empathy, understanding, and complete acceptance without judgement. You can bring anything that affects your emotional wellbeing—past experiences, personal challenges, relationships, or complex emotions. Even when the journey feels uncomfortable, you will be supported to feel safe, articulate your feelings, and allow them to move through you so you can move forward in the way that feels right for you.
Counselling can be challenging at times and may feel difficult before it feels better, but through perseverance you can experience meaningful personal growth. By developing a deeper understanding of yourself and trusting your inner guidance, you can build greater self-awareness, a stronger sense of self, and move toward the life you want to live.
What I offer
My counselling service is designed to provide you with expert guidance and support tailored to your individual needs. I offer a confidential and safe space to explore your challenges and foster personal growth.
I offer online sessions via Teams and each session lasts for 50 minutes. You can choose to schedule sessions over the space of weeks or months - there is no limit or restriction. Alternatively, you can schedule one off sessions for times when you have something on your mind that you want to speak about.
My fee is £50 per 50 minute session.

I combine a thoughtful, person-centred approach with kindness, understand and empathy. I never judge and always accept each person regardless of their background, gender, ethnicity or personal circumstances.

Yes, all sessions are confidential so anything you say will be kept between the two of us. Nobody will know you have approached me for counselling, not even your GP.
However, please note that I have a legal obligation to report anything you disclose regarding acts of terror or the funding of terror activities. I also have a legal obligation to comply to court orders or coroner’s requests. Outside of these two exceptions we would not release your notes without your written consent.
